Next month, a man will appear on the court for an alleged theft a yacht in Batemans Bay earlier on Monday, in Batemans Bay. It was around 7 pm when police got reports of the man as well as three kids were missing from a house located on the Beach Road, Batemans Bay.
Officers in charge to Far South Coast Local Area Command also got reports that a yacht had reportedly been stolen from a marina in bay overnight. A broad search effort was carried on overnight by Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Fisheries NSW, Marine Rescue and Rescue 24 from Wollongong and Roads and Maritime Services.
On 15th Dec, Tuesday, around 11 am, a forty-two-year-old man and 4 kids aged 8, 12, 13 and 14, were reportedly found on the stolen vessel at North Durras, which is north of Batemans Bay. The group, along with the yacht, was brought back to the Batemans Bay; where the 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station. The man has been charged with take and drive imparting without the owners consent. He was given a conditional bail. Now, he will have to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on 18th January.
Meanwhile, Eric Loizeau, the French champ, and Uka Randmaa, the Estonian solo circumnavigator, are the newest entrants to set their goal on winning the Golden Globe yacht race 2018. The announcement was made at the very first Golden Globe competitor conference, arranged at the Little Ship Club, in London.
